Foreign investment in The Republic of Belarus from abroad and abroad from the Republic of Belarus in January−September, 2017

Investment in Belarus from abroad. In the third Quarter of 2017, $6.7 billion were invested by foreign investors in the real sector of the economy (excluding banks).

The main investors of Belarusian organisations were economic entities from Russia (40.6% of the total investment), the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (26.6%), Cyprus (7.1%).
Gross foreign direct investment (FDI) was $5.5bn, or 83% of the total foreign investment.

Investment from Belarus abroad. In the third Quarter of 2017 the outward investment of Belarusian organisations (excluding banks) totaled $4 billion.

Significant investment was made by organisations of the country in the economic entities of Russia (66.8% of the total outward investment),Ukraine (17.9%),the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (6.8%).

Direct investment accounted for 93.8% of the total investment abroad.
