Investment in Belarus from abroad. In January - September 2019, $7.1 billion were invested by foreign investors in the real sector of the economy (excluding banks).
The main investors of Belarusian organisations were economic entities from the Russian Federation (44.2% of the total investment), the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (19.7%) and Cyprus (6.6%).
Gross foreign direct investment (FDI) was $5.2 billion, or 73.6% of the total foreign investment.
Investment from Belarus abroad. In January - September 2019 the outward investment of Belarusian organisations (excluding banks) totaled $4.4 billion.
Significant investment was made by organisations of the country in the economic entities of the Russian Federation (62.3% of the total outward investment), Ukraine (15.8%) and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (8.7%).
Direct investment accounted for 91.1% of the total investment abroad.
