Brief description:

Water discharge into surface water bodies by degree of treatment (without pre-treatment, treated according to standards, insufficiently treated).

Methodology:

Wastewater discharge into surface water bodies without pre-treatment includes the volume of wastewater the quality of which allows it to be discharged into surface water bodies without pre-treatment;

Discharge of wastewater treated according to standards into surface water bodies includes the volume of wastewater treated according to standards the content of pollutants in which does not exceed the standards for the permissible discharge of chemical and other substances in the wastewater established in permits for special water use and integrated environmental permits;

Insufficiently treated wastewater discharged into surface water bodies includes the volume of insufficiently treated wastewater discharged with violation, including as a result of accidental contamination, or the content of pollutants in which exceeds the standards for the permissible discharge of chemical and other substances in the wastewater established in permits for special water use and integrated environmental permits.

Relevance of the indicator:

The indicator defines the level of the pressure on water bodies through non‐treated or non‐sufficiently treated wastewaters.
