In January – August 2021 the agricultural production in farms of all types (agricultural organisations, private farms and household plots) at current prices was BYN 14.3 billion, or 95.4% of the level of January – August 2020 at constant prices. The agricultural production in agricultural organisations was BYN 13 billion, or 95.1% of the level of the same period of the previous year at constant prices.
The production of livestock and poultry (in live weight) in farms of all types was recorded at 1200.7 thous. tonnes, the milk production was at 5299.9 thous. tonnes, the production of eggs was at 2382.7 million units. The share of agricultural organisations was 96.5% of the production of livestock and poultry (in live weight), 97% of the milk production and 82.9% of the eggs production.
As at 1st September 2021 the cattle population in agricultural organisations numbered 4.2 million heads, the number of cows being 1,4 million heads. The number of pigs totaled 2.5 million heads.
As at 1st September 2021 grains and legumes (except maize) were reaped by agricultural organisations from 97.6% of harvest area (as at 1st September 2020 – 95.8%). The grain yield in initially recorded weight was 6.3 million tonnes, the average yield capacity made up 30.5 centners per hectare of harvested area.
Fodder conservation is in progress. As at 1st September 2021, 7.3 million tonnes of feed units of fodder were procured in agricultural organisations, of which 4.2 million tonnes of grass fodder were procured. Thus, 17.2 centners of feed units of fodder were procured per livestock unit of public livestock, 13.4 centners of grass fodder were procured.
