Social conditions and standard of living of the Republic of Belarus

The data book provides data reflecting various aspects of the standard of living and quality of life of the population of the country. It also provides basic socio-economic indicators characterizing demographic processes, labor market, dynamics and structure of money incomes of the population, expenditures and consumption of households, as well as prevalence of poverty among the population (households).

Information is published on housing conditions, health and medical care of the population, pension and social protection of certain categories of population, education and culture, crime rates and environmental conditions. There are statistical indicators characterizing the development of the consumer market of goods and services, the network of tourism and recreation institutions, prevalence of the use of information and communications technologies.

The data are presented in dynamics for a number of years for the country as a whole, as well as for the regions and Minsk city. Some statistical indicators are accompanied by brief methodological explanations.

The data book is published in Russian and English and illustrated with charts and diagrams.
