The reference book provides a brief overview of the socio-economic situation in the country in 2016 as compared with a number of previous years.

The publication contains data on population and vital statistics, migration and labour force. It presents indicators describing the standard of living of the population, education and health care systems, culture and tourism. Published are the trends and structure of GDP as well as the information on the major economic sectors, such as industry, agriculture, construction, transport, communications, etc. The data on domestic and external trade, foreign investment, prices and tariffs are also included.

Published in Russian and English; contains charts and diagrams.
