The International Forum "Modernization of Statistical Business Processes: Forming a New Ecosystem of Official Statistics" and the 75th meeting of the Council of Heads of Statistical Services of the CIS Member States are currently taking place in Bishkek.

The Belarusian side is represented by Tsimafei Zhyharau, First Deputy Chairperson of the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus, and Tatsiana Maksimava, Head of the Main Department for Statistical System Coordination and Development.
Presenting Belarus's experience in data management, Tsimafei Zhyharau noted that the country has developed standard data and metadata structures, and has unified and cataloged statistical indicators. Additionally, a series of measures to systematize public sector data has been launched.

"We are in the active phase of inventorying the composition, structure, and level of detail of information collected and processed through state information systems and resources. Work is underway to populate the catalog of state data and metadata, as well as a unified system of classifications," Tsimafei Zhyharau emphasized.
The First Deputy Chairperson of Belstat also pointed out that since the beginning of this year, an inventory of more than sixty information systems and resources has already been conducted. The catalog describes the structure of over 2,700 state data units, and more than 500 directories and classifications are now maintained in a unified structure. The collected data array will be analyzed for duplication, logical contradictions, and inconsistencies. According to Tsimafei Zhyharau, this ongoing work will ensure data connectivity, improve data quality, and create an effective management system, making a significant contribution to statistical activities.
Tsimafei Zhyharau also participated in discussions and decision-making during the 75th meeting of the Council of Heads of Statistical Services of the CIS Member States and events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the formation of Kyrgyz statistics.
