The issues addressed at the meeting included improvement of measuring non-observed economy and migration statistics, comparability of groupings of national product classifications, preparation and issuing of the joint statistical publication “Belarus and Russia”. Results of joint work in 2012 were reviewed.
The Statistical Council adopted a number of decisions on carrying out joint consultations concerning the issues of organisation and maintaining of statistics required for further alignment of the statistical systems of Belarus and Russia. Main directions of further work for ensuring the comparability of methodology and statistics were defined.
