In 2019, 22.5 thousand individuals (families) obtained housing and improved their housing conditions. Among them, there were 6.6 thousand young families, 7.8 thousand families with three or more children, and 2.3 thousand individuals (families) qualified for social housing.
In February, 2020 4334.7 thousand people were employed in the economy of Belarus.
In February 2020 the nominal gross average earnings in the Republic of Belarus were BYN 1119.7.
5.1 thousand new apartments were built in January – February 2020. 515.2 thousand square metres of total floor space were commissioned.
In January – February 2020 the wholesale turnover was recorded at BYN 14 bn, or 89.8% over January – February 2019 at constant prices.
In January – February 2020 the volume of industrial production in current prices was recorded at BYN 17.2 billion or 96.7% in constant prices compared with January – February 2019, with 97.1% in Mining and quarrying; 97.5% in Manufacturing; 93.2% in Electricity, gas, steam, hot water and air conditioning supply; and 101.7% in Water supply; waste management and remediation activities.
In January – February 2020 organisations and individual entrepreneurs transported 56.4 million tonnes of freight, or 86.5% of freight transported in January – February 2019. The freight turnover was recorded at 18.7 billion tonne-kilometres, or 86.2% of the corresponding period of 2019.
In January – February 2020 the agricultural production in farms of all types (agricultural organisations, private farms and household plots) at current prices was BYN 1881.7 million, an increase of 6% at constant prices compared with January – February 2019. The agricultural production in agricultural organisations was BYN 1821.6 million, an increase of 6.6% at constant prices compared with the same period of the previous year.
