Chairperson of the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus Inna Medvedeva met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Belarus Peter Dettmar on July 17, 2018. Deputy Chairperson of Belstat Elena Kukharevich, Head of International Cooperation and Statistical Information Dissemination Department of Belstat Irina Mazaiskaya, and Advisor of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in the Republic of Belarus Katrin Ostrowski also participated in the meeting.
The parties noted the high level of Belarusian-German cooperation in the organisation of monitoring of the Sustainable Development Goals and the support from the Federal Republic of Germany to the various projects implemented in Belarus at both national and regional levels.
The parties paid special attention to the prospects of bilateral cooperation in the field of statistics and exchange of experience in personal data protection.
