On 6-7 October 2021, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, the scientific and practical conference "Effective ways of using population census data" organised by the Mahalla and Family Research Institute under the Ministry of Mahalla and Family Support of the Republic of Uzbekistan jointly with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) took place. Zhanna Vasilevskaya, Deputy Chairperson of the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus, was invited to take part in the conference as a speaker.
Ms Vasilevskaya shared the experience of Belarusian statisticians in organizing and conducting the 2019 Population Census using geoinformation technologies with the Uzbek colleagues.
The experience of the Republic of Belarus in using IT technologies in organizing and conducting the 2019 Population Census was also discussed by the parties on 8 October 2021 at the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Statistics.
