On December 26, 2023 the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus hosted a meeting between the Chairperson of Belstat, Inna Medvedeva, and the Representative of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Belarus, Rustam Khaidarov. The meeting was also attended by the First Deputy Chairperson of Belstat, Elena Kukharevich.
This is the second official visit of Mr Khaidarov to Belstat since he took office as the Representative of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in Belarus.
During the meeting Inna Medvedeva summed up the results of cooperation with the UNICEF Country Office for the past year, and also announced the priorities of joint work for the future - the development of methodological approaches to assessing the quality of administrative data, the measurement of multidimensional poverty, improvement of the Universal Data-Portal on Child-Related Statistics, including through the introduction of the SDMX format to ensure effective data exchange, preparation for the seventh round of the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey to assess the situation of children and women in Belarus.
In turn, Rustam Khaidarov thanked Inna Medvedeva for many years of effective joint work of Belstat with UNICEF, and expressed confidence that further interaction will be no less fruitful.
