According to the agenda, the Conference accommodated over 20 sessions where about 80 issues were reviewed. These included classifications, data standardization, data editing, new types of surveys, enhancing user access to statistical information, integration of data in a common resource, new methods of data provision, including the use of GIS technologies, use of statistical register, and other.
The most significant with a view to practical application in the Republic of Belarus were the issues of data quality assurance as well as techniques and approaches to electronic data collection, processing and dissemination.
