In January-September 2026 the agricultural production in farms of all types (agricultural organisations, private farms and household plots) at current prices was BYN 31.4 billion, an increase of 4.6% at constant prices compared with January-September 2025. The agricultural production in agricultural organisations was BYN 26.4 billion, an increase of 4.4% at constant prices compared with the same period of the previous year.
The share of agricultural organisations was 97.7% of the production of livestock and poultry (in live weight), 97.9% of the milk production, 86.7% of the production of eggs.
The production of livestock and poultry (in live weight) in agricultural organisations was recorded at 1390.4 thous. tonnes, an increase of 5% compared with January-September 2025. The milk production was at 6981.7 thous. tonnes (+2.8%), the production of eggs was at 2589.3 million units (+1.5%).
As at 1st October 2026 the cattle population in agricultural organisations numbered 3.8 million heads, the number of cows being 1.3 million heads. The number of pigs totaled 2.1 million heads, the number of poultry being 50.5 million heads.
As at 1st October 2026 the harvesting of grain and rape have been almost finalised in agricultural organisations of the country. The yield of grains and legumes (except maize) in initially recorded weight was 7.6 million tonnes, the average yield capacity made up 37.6 centners per hectare of harvested area; the rape yield was 1.5 million tonnes, the average yield capacity made up 31 centners.
As at the beginning of October of the current year potatoes were harvested from 56.8% of harvest area. In total, 421.1 thous. tonnes of potatoes were lifted with the yield capacity of 338 centners per hectare. Vegetables were harvested from 51.1% of harvest area. The production of vegetables totaled 84.4 thous. tonnes with the yield capacity of 219 centners per hectare. Sugar beets were gathered from 40.5% of harvest area. The gross harvest of sugar beets was 1875.4 thous. tonnes with the yield capacity of 440 centners per hectare.
As at 1st October 2026, 1099.6 thous. hectares of winter grain crops for grain and green fodder were sown in agricultural organisations. The area under winter rape totaled 551.3 thous. hectares. Autumn ploughing was carried out on 33.4 thous. hectares. Fodder conservation is in progress. As at 1st October 2026, 10.9 million tonnes of fodder (in terms of feed units) were procured in agricultural organisations, of which 6.7 million tonnes of grass fodder were procured. Thus, 28 centners of feed units of fodder were procured per livestock unit of public livestock, 23.6 centners of grass fodder were procured.
