Distribution of exports and imports of services by their modes of supply in 2024 year
(according to the methodology of statistics of foreign trade in services; in percent)
In 2024, the share of services exported by cross-border supply with the service provider and customer located on their territories (remotely) in the total volume of services exports decreased from 82.3% in 2023 to 79.5% in 2024. At the same time, the contribution of services exported during the service customer's trip to the Republic of Belarus (through consumption abroad) increased from 8% to 9.1%. More services began to be provided by the presence of supplier, in which the Belarusian exporter traveled to the customer's territory. The share of such services increased from 9.7% to 11.4%.
In terms of imports, the share of services obtained by cross-border mode in the total volume of service imports increased from 81.6% to 81.9%, and when a Belarusian customer travels abroad (consumption abroad) – from 5.9% to 6.7%. At the same time, the share of services obtained by the presence of supplier on the territory of the Republic of Belarus decreased from 12.5% to 11.4%.
Services provided using the Internet and other means of telecommunications in 2024 accounted for 3.7% of the total volume of services exports of the Republic of Belarus, while those received accounted for 7% (in 2023 – 4.3% and 7.8%, respectively).
