Conceptual directions of integration of information resources in statistics presented at the II International Statistical Forum of the CIS: new technologies and data sources in statistics

The II International Statistical Forum of the CIS: new technologies and data sources in statistics is being held on 2-4 October 2024 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. The Forum is organized as part of the implementation of the project “Development of CIS Statistics” with the support of the Agency of Statistics under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the CIS Executive Committee.Within the session ‘New technologies of collection, processing, analysis and dissemination of statistical data’ Yury Chernyavskiy, Head of the Information Technology Department of the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus, reported on ‘Conceptual directions of integration of information resources in statistics’.

Experience of the Republic of Belarus in developing methodological approaches of the national multidimensional poverty index calculation was presented at the High-Level Meeting of the Multidimensional Poverty Peer Network in Tashkent.

Best practices of Belarusian statisticians presented at the fifty-fifth session of the United Nations Statistical Commission

The development of data and indicators for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, economic and social statistics, climate change statistics, the System of National Accounts, international statistical classifications, population and housing censuses, open data and a number of other issues were considered at the 55th session of the United Nations Statistical Commission (27 February – 1 March 2024, New York, United States of America). Natallia Tarasiuk, Deputy Chairperson of Belstat, took part in the event on behalf of the Belarusian side.
